Welding of joints can be done both on the rise, and the trigger (Fig. 116).

When welding on lifting the underlying weld metal, which is almost crystallized, keeps the molten metal in the weld pool. Welding on the rise allows more thoroughly boil thoroughly root weld and edge as molten metal flows from the electrode directly into the weld pool. The disadvantage of this method is a rough bead appearance: his face as if covered with scales.
When welding, the trigger is difficult to obtain high-quality penetration junction details as slag and molten metal seep under the arc. At low values ​​of surface tension is leaking metal from the weld pool.

Performing ceiling seam

The reason is that the molten metal flows from the weld pool at the bottom edge, which results in the formation of undercutting on the top edge. For this reason the weld metal increased thickness produce bevel only one top edge. Bottom helps hold the molten metal in the weld pool. In lap joints fillet welding presents no particular difficulties and executed in the same manner as the welding in the bottom position.
