Tools for performance and hole machining

Drills
Accomplished by drilling holes. For this purpose, the bit in the form of spirals, drills (manual and electric), gimlets, etc.
The drill has a working part, which is divided into cutting and cylindrical shank that fits into the spindle (rotating shaft with arrangements for holding the drill, etc.) of the machine, and the foot.
That in the process of chip flew off to the side, in the cylindrical part of the drill do two helical grooves, which are located on the edges of the ribbon. Ribbons are required in order to reduce friction on the edge of the drill hole.
Another, cutting, part drill is designed as a cone, where there are three edges: two blades and one transverse. Depending on from which is made of metal part, sharpening angle drill make from 110 to 150 °.
Bit shank may be cylindrical and conical shapes. First fixed in the machine spindle jaw chuck, the second held in the spindle because of the friction between the transition taper sleeve and taper of the shank.
Foot drill is needed to stop the extraction of drill chuck or jacks.
In operation, the drill, spinning, remove shavings from the metal surface and is moving along the axis of rotation, gradually going deeper into the details.
If the corners of the drill quickly become dull, it indicates that the speed is too high and should be reduced. This can be done only when the drive.
With an electric drill work in rubber gloves or during drilling stand with one foot on the rubber mat.
In addition, always pay attention to the condition of an electric wire.
After completion of drilling operations chips carefully collect twigs and discarded.

Countersink
A tool such as a reamer is used to trim recessed cylindrical or conical shape, and the facets of drilled holes for screw heads, bolts and rivets.
Countersink can be cylindrical and conical. The first consists of the shank, the working part, which can be from 4 to 8 teeth, and the guide pin is lowered into the bore hole, so that is the combination of the hole axis and obtained by the countersink recess.
The second also has a shank and a working part. Most often used with a cone angle countersink 120, 90 and 60 °.

Countersink
Countersink is for finishing holes obtained in various ways, such as stamping, forging, drilling or casting.
Countersink drill recalls. But if the drill has two cutting edges, then countersink them 3 or 4. Shank countersinks chuck.
In that case, if the hole is drilled the drill, and then brought cone, drill diameter must be smaller than the diameter of the finished hole.

Punch
Piercer used for making holes of different diameters.
